Nailhead Poncho Liner Woobie Blanket
Armor up for the worst! Our Mcguire Gear poncho liner has been designed to provide warmth and protection without the bulk. It consists of two layers of lightweight military-grade quilted nylon encasing polyester batting for added strength, insulation, and durability. These poncho liners measure 60” (W) x 84” (L) and feature a rolled nylon edge binding that prevents tattering or edgewear and tie-cords on the sides and corners that you can easily tie through matching grommets on rain ponchos. History
The woobie blankets started to be issued during the Vietnam war in 1962; the intent was to field an item lighter and faster drying than the standard-issue Army Wool Blanket, which had essentially been rendered obsolete in the wet and tropical environment of Vietnam. So they came out with the “woobie blanket.”
