The Ranger Vest offers a simple and comfortable way to carry your gear in the field. Made from a breathable polycotton blend, this vest is light-weight and comfortable to wear all day. It features a unique stow-away hood that can be easily deployed to protect you from the elements and heavy duty zippered pockets to secure your gear.

Genuine Adult Sizing - Well Made

I was concerned about sizing since some such vests are bolero short torso and even their (symbolic) hoods are for tiny heads, but this is a genuine adult vest and fits an adult (6') person (XL) with a normal sized (big) head. It appears well made, and I am very pleased. It is a 65/35 polyester/cotton vest - so there are advantages of synthetic (fewer wrinkles, quick drying, etc.) while missing that old soft all-cotton texture (that you pay more for). Note, the zipper on my Metro pattern was on the left side that is usually a female placement on US garments, but it zips up just the same. It is fully lined. I like it, and recommend it for your typical use and abuse.
