If its a replica it matches the original.

I also have the M65 parka shell. It appears (and smells new), including some loose threads at the ends of seams. I'm sure its a replica, as the army has moved on to a new type of parka. I wore one when stationed in Korea in the mid and late 80s. By itself its not warm, but is a fantastic wind breaker. The hood is also like original including the wire and that obnoxious fur ruff. I actually got all this to pinwheel patterns to practice making myself custom cold weather gear. In Korea I bought extra liners at the PX and restitched all the liner buttons with dental floss so I could could button in 3 liners. Two full and one with no sleeves.
